The Struthers Water Storage Tank project is located in Moscow, ID. The 18′-0″ wide x 34′-0″ long, cast-in-place concrete structure is intended to collect and store rainwater. A monoslope steel framed roof structure that sits on top of the tank sheds water to one side, which comes into a gutter system to capture rainwater. The tank is formed by 12″ thick concrete walls. The level of grade around the tank varies. At worst case, the structure retains 11′-0″ of surrounding soil.

Umlauf Engineers provided structural engineering design in accordance with IBC, ACI, and PCA Rectangular Concrete Tanks recommendations and requirements.
